Juan Rodríguez
DNP in Bologna meeting
Rodriguez (quad) was an unused sub in Sunday's 0-0 draw with Bologna.
Analysis: Rodriguez stayed on the bench for the whole game as he wasn't 100 percent following a muscular injury, even though he was called up. He'll continue competing with Alberto Dossena in the last three matches.
Bench option for Bologna fixture
Rodriguez (undisclosed) isn't starting in Sunday's match versus Bologna.
Analysis: Rodriguez is fit as expected, but will begin as a sub after getting the nod in seven of the last eight rounds. Alberto Dossena is teaming up with Yerry Mina in the back instead.
Good to go for Bologna match
Rodriguez left early due to cramps last week and has been training regularly, coach Fabio Pisacane stated.
Analysis: Rodriguez will be an option against Bologna and has good chances of drawing his sixth consecutive start over Alberto Dossena. He has notched at least one tackle, racking up 32 (25 won) and one clearance, averaging 5.4 per match, in all his 14 seasonal appearances, contributing to one clean sheet. He has recorded one or more interceptions and blocks in the last three tilts, accumulating four and three, respectively.
Bows out against Atalanta
Rodriguez generated two tackles (two won), seven clearances and two interceptions in Monday's clash with Atalanta before departing at the 72nd minute because of a possible thigh issue, Sky Italy reported.
Analysis: Rodriguez turned in an excellent shift in the back and piled up stats even though his side allowed two goals, but he was forced off in the second half due to muscular discomfort. He'll be examined before Sunday's away contest versus Bologna. He usually alternates with Alberto Dossena next to Yerry Mina.
